John Pierpont Morgan

During the Second Industrial Revolution, John Pierpont Morgan helped to lead the banking industry into a new age.  Getting into banking in London in 1857, and went to America the next year.  By the early 1900s, H.P Morgan & Company were said to control a large portion of the American financial machine.

Through modern managing techniques, Morgan would also go on to venture into other areas, including printing, power, and shipping, namely railroads.  It is said that John Pierpont Morgan helped quell the Panic of 1907 and the Panic of 1893.
