Photographic Technology

Photographic technology is one of the great inventions that occurred during the Industrial Revolution in America.  George Eastman is known as the pioneer of photographic film.  He began manufacturing paper film back in 1885 and later he would switch to celluloid in 1889.  Eastman was a novice photographer who enjoyed taking pictures but did not enjoy the fact that owning a camera was so expensive. He came up with a simple box camera with a lens, one shutter speed and a low price tag so that everyone in the general public could afford it.  The introduction of photographic technology by George Eastman would end up opening the door to many more amazing inventions to come.
